Right tool for the right job
I think some of the other posts here are from people who expected more than the software was created to do. It is a software for mastering and processing stereo or mono audio- nothing more . It does this job better than anything else I've used, and offers far more than anything in it's price range. It is not a karaoke machine or a multi-track recorder. It processes audio quite well. I have mastered several albums on it. If you want to put an entire CD together, you want CD architect. I actually mix down directly to the software from my multi-track recorder and then process and edit from there. It is very solid. It's the right tool for the right job". I don't care for Karaoke, so I might not have noticed, but no it will not remove vocals. No software can do that well and keep the other tracks sounding good. That's what professional musicians are for.

This program is nothing more than single track recording software. If you have preinstalled sound recording software on your PC or laptop, do NOT buy this product. I thought there would be multi-tracking built in, but this is NOT the case. Buyer beware, this product is for single track editing only. Waste of money, and since its software, I cannot return now that its been loaded onto my laptop. Just looking for a low cost alternative to purchasing some high-end multi-tracking software. What's worse is from the cover of the software packaging, it appears there is multi-tracking ability. Stay away from this product.

It performs the desired tasks suitably. Processing time is quite slow in comparison to the pro 10 version; however, for the price SFAS9 is an excellent choice.
Not enough features for voice
I used Sound Forge 3 years ago and to me, Sound Forge studio 9 is not as good as 3. There is not much ways you can alter the voice other then pitch. Maybe I should have not bought this version and instead bought one that does not have the word Studio. There is no instructional book with this item, and I was wondering if I could use the book for Sound Forge 3 with this version? To me this is a waste of 50 dollars, which I could return it and get my money back.
